Passage Unwritten LLP Response to
This posting, which does not allow comment/right to reply, follows an earlier posting by Ms Hulme (Mookomatic) which was removed after we were able to provide a balanced statement.
It follows the damage to the clutch and gearbox of our new Danbury campervan hired by Ms Hulme and her partner, resulting in an expensive repair. The couple were extremely apologetic on returning with the van and signed to confirm damage. On returning home, Ms Hulme would not speak with us and the outcome was that Passage Unwritten was left with a big bill in order to get the campervan back on the road. The reference to Trading Standards was the route preferred by Ms Hulme's family representative rather than seeking to reach an amicable solution which took into account the responsibility of the hirer. Neither party was happy with the outcome as tends to be the case when significant damage is done.
Ms Hulme has every right to make known her experiences of Passage Unwritten LLP. As with all businesses, you cannot please everyone however our long list of customer testimonials and positive feedback demonstrates that Passage Unwritten provided a consistently high level of customer service.
However, it is unreasonable to make a personal attack on a company director, to the point of tracking down other personal information and emailing blog links to one of their daughters. This has led them to close down certain social media presence to reduce the stress caused by these remarks on the family. In addition we are concerned over the potential reputation damage of these one sided allegations which represent a specific case (outlined above) rather than being a fair reflection of how Passage Unwritten was run and the character of its directors.
Passage Unwritten is best contacted at stella@passageunwritten.co.uk if you have any concerns.
